Belgium November 2021
Last day of the Maker Faire Belgium 2021. There was an international showcase of AI robots planned. Two inventors were about to show their latest creation. It was not something they were very proud of. They had lack of time and inspiration so they put a few ideas together and quickly made a robot that wasn’t near as impressive as all other robots that entered that day. Their first idea was to create a robot that was child-friendly to entertain children on long travels. But after testing it on their own kids they had realized that there was already an invention that could do that: the iPad. Realizing that they weren’t exactly the new Steve Jobs they changed their approach. The two inventors may have been smart, they weren’t exactly top of the class in being creative. So they put the robot full of random stuff. And flamethrowing arms. Cause that is what you do when you panic a few days before a big reveal.
So this is how the showcase went. The robot with a basic AI system that was designed to entertain children went rogue with his flamethrowing arms causing the setup of a child’s bedroom they created to go up in flames. This made them go viral, not only on science websites but especially on fail compilations on social media.
May 2022
A group of science nerd podcasters is interested in making a special about the robot, now known as Failbot. The inventors were happy to hand it over to them. Their wives forced them to put it in a fireproof safe and there had it been the last half year. The podcasters handed it over to an AI expert who updated the AI system, making it less destructive. They went on a tour through Europe and the robot went viral again. His dorky looks made him very popular. And his interest in traveling and visiting places to take photoshoots made him very loved on social media. The Failbot became a Travelbot.

The Travelbot is still a prototype. But in the future this will change. Travelbots will go around the world. And they will evolve. What comes next is up to you. You can make it more popular or send him back to where he came from. But let’s all agree we want to see more Travelbots in more countries and with more features. So we can continue his story.

The backgrounds are real life pictures
Travelbots are travelling to different places so no boring backgrounds for them. They like to pose everywhere they come.
The collection is hand drawn and was created on procreate.
It took 3 months to design and create the Travelbots collection. Every background is a cartoonized real life picture.
Charity
Our goal with releasing this NFT project is to raise money for our own Travelbot charity website. We want to support small projects all over the world with the money we earn from NFTs. The goal is to release a website where people can share local projects that need financial help. By purchasing our NFTs you will support those projects.
The development of the website is planned after the mint of this collection. We are currently looking for people with experience in charities. If you have the experience to help us with this project you can always contact us on discord or twitter.

We are releasing a bundle of 5 Travelbots for 0.08 ETH. By buying a VIP package you will not only get a lot of advantages but you also support the whole community. It will also give you the opportunity to be active involved in the decisions we take.
Why are we releasing a VIP package?
We don’t have a huge budget so by buying a VIP package you help us to reach out to more people. The money we make of the VIP package will go to promotion, giveaways, challenges, … It will also allow us to hire professionals to help us build our community even further.

- The price of the VIP package is 0.08 ETH which means that you pay only 0.016 ETH / NFT. This is less than half the public mint price which makes your chances to make bigger profit higher.
- Profit sharing: we will give away 10% of our total profits to our VIP members.
- After we sell out we will give you the opportunity to get a unique personalised artwork of 1 of your Travelbots.
- You will receive 1 free NFT from our next collection that we will release probably at the end of this year.
- You will be put on a special whitelist for the next project so you will have a chance to buy more NFTs for a very low price.
QR Code
We have included QR codes to 64 of our Travelbot NFTs. There are 6 different QR Codes each with their own value.
- 0.05 to 0.1 ETH
- 0.1 to 0.25 ETH
- 0.25 to 0.5 ETH
- 0.5 to 0.75 ETH
- 0.75 to 1 ETH
- 1 to 10 ETH
When our collection is sold out and revealed we will hold a raffle to make out the precise amount of each NFT with a QR code. If you are the original owner of an NFT with a QR code you will receive the ETH on your wallet right away after the raffle is finished.
So if you want to make a chance on the reward be sure to hold onto your Travelbot till after the reveal. Cause one of them will be worth 10 ETH!
What will happen in case the collection isn’t sold out? Well that is in the hands of the community. We will discuss this in the discord group but we can tell even then no owner with a QR code will be left empty handed.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- The QR code is only valid when the collection is sold out.
- The QR code is only valid when you are the person who minted the NFT. If you have bought it from someone you cannot claim the amount on the QR code.
- When the collection isn’t sold out, owners will get another reward which will be discussed and voted by the community.

We are a team of NFT enthusiasts based in Belgium. It is important to know we don’t pretend to be a very large community. We want to start small and work towards later projects. That means we are already looking forward to the future. But first of all we need a solid base. And that base is a positive community that fully trusts our project.
We know that trust has to be earned. In these uncertain times this is more important than ever. There are a lot of scams and rug pulls in the NFT world. The reputation of NFTs and crypto isn’t very good these days. And we want to be the proof that there can exist honest and trustworthy projects.
We will need the community to make this a success. We don’t want to be a community where we take all decisions by ourselves. We will need your help. Let us know what you think, what needs to be improved, give us suggestions. You can do this in the suggestion channel on discord or by creating a ticket.

FAQ
NFT stands for a non-fungible token, which means that there's a unique and non-interchangeable unit of data stored on a digital ledger using blockchain technology to establish proof of ownership. Essential the same, or similar technology used for cryptocurrencies like bitcoin and ether is used to guarantee the uniqueness of each NFT and to prove who owns it.
Unlike a unit of bitcoin, however, each NFT is completely unique, so it can't be exchanged like-for-like. The file stores extra information that elevates it above pure currency and brings it into the realm of, well, anything, really. As a result, NFTs have become collectable digital assets that hold value, just like how physical art holds value.
Metamask is a crypto-wallet that can store your Ethereum, and is needed to purchase and mint a Travelbot. Having a wallet gives you an Ethereum address (i.e. 0xABCD....9999), this is where your NFT will be stored. Learn more about Metamask and how easy it is to use over here: https://metamask.io
If you are using a mobile phone to mint our Travelbots, you need to use the Metamask application built-in browser to mint our NFTs. Therefore, please launch the Metamask application, click the 3 lines on the top left menu in the application and select "Browser". It will open a web browser and you will be able to navigate back to www.travelbotsnft.com to do the minting.
If you are using a computer to mint our Travelbots, you just need to connect the Metamask plugin with our website, verify you have enough ETH to do the transaction, then you will be able to click on the Mint button to buy Travelbots.
Get the Metamask Chrome or Firefox extension. Load it with ETH through services that allow you to change your money to ETH like Coinbase, Binance or Kraken. Then, click the button "Connect Wallet" to connect your wallet to Metamask. Once you are connected to Metamask the button "Mint Travelbots" will appear. Clicking that button will lead you to the transaction page where you can confirm your payment.
Your Travelbot NFT will appear in whatever address, or connected wallet you used to purchase the Monster Molecule. You can see your freshly minted NFT card directly on your Opensea.io account.
